Republic of Korea – January 21, 2026 – The 23rd Education Korea Expo (Education Korea 2026) officially opened on January 21 (Wed) and will run through January 23 (Fri) for three days at COEX Halls A and B in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Held under the theme “Learning about Learning, Tomorrow Starts Today,” the exhibition is the largest in its history, bringing together 592 companies and organizations from 22 countries. ![]() Education Korea has established itself as Asia’s largest exhibition specializing in education and edutech, serving as a premier global platform where future education paradigms and the latest technological trends can be explored in one place. The expo covers the entire education industry ecosystem, including educational content, edutech solutions, educational facilities and environments, vocational and lifelong education, and overseas study programs. This year’s exhibition focused on educational innovation beyond the AI era, addressing preparations for the AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) age. Participating companies showcased cutting-edge technologies that can be applied directly in classrooms, including AI-based educational courseware, STEAM robots, and digital classroom solutions. Global big-tech firms and leading domestic edutech companies also took part, presenting future-oriented learning tools and instructional design strategies. ![]() In particular, seminars, competitions, and live demonstration programs were held to share AI-based digital teaching materials and classroom application cases, drawing strong interest from teachers and education professionals. Dong-A Publishing, for example, operated hands-on experience zones and seminars centered on teacher-focused AI digital learning resources, emphasizing content that can be immediately applied in real classroom settings. During the exhibition, the 9th International Education Conference (EDUCON 2026) was also held under the theme “AI Agents: Creating New Rules,” bringing together global education leaders to discuss structural changes and strategies in education. Experts and policymakers engaged in in-depth discussions on the roles generative AI and AI agents will play in future classrooms, as well as the redefinition of educators’ roles amid a fundamental transformation of the education ecosystem.
