The Seoul Comic Con Organizing Committee officially announced that the Seoul Comic Con 2021 
– international pop culture festival – will take place for four days from August, 19 (Thu) - 22 (Sun) in Seoul COEX Convention Centre.

Comic Con is a global event where the visitors can live the full pop culture experience through 
comics, movies, animation, games, figurines and cosplay. 
Taking place in more than 30 cities in the world, including New York, Paris and Singapore, 
it has been successfully held in Seoul since 2017, celebrating its fourth anniversary this year.

At the Seoul Comic Con, visitors will discover the latest Korean and international entertainment content, broadcasting platforms, 
comics, webtoons, artworks, video games and hardware devices reflecting the latest market trends. 
Through the IP collaboration program, industries can converge and create new businesses to 
showcase the value and vision of the Seoul Comic Con encompassing the global pop culture.

This year, Seoul Comic Con introduces a brand-new event: World of Characters. 
Fans will discover popular national characters from all around the world, originating 
from comics, cartoons, games, etc, that will give them unforgettable memories and experience.

In addition, the Ultimate Cosplay Battle (UCB), will both take offline and online to allow cosplayers 
from all over the world to compete in the best costume design, 
which will be selected by a jury composed of Korean and international cosplay artists.

For the gamers, the OGT event (Open Game Tournament) will allow them to take part in a 
random gaming tournament format on-site, and the “Wonder Arena” will be hold online.

The Artist Alley, worldwide Comic Con’s signature event, will gather various artists together 
in order to promote their artworks and interact with the fans.

"Although the event was postponed last year due to Corona, thanks to the various program that is in preparation, 
the Seoul Comic Con 2021 will be an enriching event for every participant”, said a Seoul Comic Con Organizing Committee Official. 
"This year, more than 150 companies from the relevant industries, such as OTT (Online Video Service), 
webtoon and video games, are joining the show.
